HOW STAUD'S VIENNA MAKES THE ADVENT THE ENJOYING ARTWORK.
October 2023- STAUD'S manufactory in Vienna Ottakring is bustling with activity. After all, the 24 small glasses, which are the main actors in the octagonal Advent Calendar in 2023, have to be produced on time. Before they can sweeten the pre-Christmas season, they have to find their way into their designated box. Assembling and filling is a science in itself: every step must be taken to ensure that the lavishly designed calendars really shine in the Advent season. On the outside, works by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and Koloman Moser will also be performed this year.

It is indeed a small work of art that arises year after year. More than 100 steps are necessary until a single copy of the STAUD'S Advent Calendar can leave the workshop. The Advent Calendar is filled with 24 serving glasses á 37g (of which 21 jams, 1 honey, 1 chutney, 1 wine jelly).
