HOW STAUD'S VIENNA MAKES THE ADVENT THE ENJOYING ARTWORK.

It's mainly the little things that can be discovered on this year's STAUD'S Advent calendar. He accompanies us to where the history of the traditional Viennese company began: to the Brunnenmarkt in Vienna's 16th district. The story behind every door is stylishly continued through 24 delicious compositions with specially created labels. In terms of taste, the Advent calendar takes us on a culinary journey through time: from well-known classics to new organic compositions and limited special editions. Young and old alike will be thrilled here.

In the middle of the hustle and bustle of Brunnenmarkt, located on the beautiful Yppenplatz, is the STAUD'S Pavilion, which, with its over 230 varieties of sweet and sour delicacies, reveals an almost unimaginable variety of enjoyment. Only here, in the small “jewelry box” not far from the STAUD’S factory, can all of the company’s products find their place. Every year, 24 of them find their way into the artfully and elaborately designed Advent calendar, which represents the attention to detail and honest craftsmanship that has always been used here.

It is indeed a small work of art that arises year after year. More than 100 steps are necessary until a single copy of the STAUD'S Advent Calendar can leave the workshop. 

The Advent Calendar is filled with 24 serving glasses á 37g (of which 21 jams, 1 honey, 1 chutney, 1 wine jelly).

 

Take a look at our advent calendar once very carefully: you will also discover an owl on it. 🦉 This is no coincidence: Hans Staud's mother was a great animal lover, especially the owls did it to her. 🦉🦉 And so grandma Staud has created an extremely large collection of owl figures over the years, which we honor in our pavilion at Yppenplatz. 😉 Stop by us: Huhuu Huhuuu! 🦉

The  difference's between Pelzmann's Styrian Pumpkin Seed Oil and Pumpkin Seed Oil.

  • Pelzmann's premium “Styrian pumpkin seed oil” is protected by the European Union “Protected Geographical Indication” (PGI) label.
  • Pelzmann's must not be extracted from any other seeds other than the “Styrian pumpkin seed” variety grown in precisely defined Austrian regions, and pressed by no other than those oil mills which are located in specific areas of the southern Styrian region. A seal with a code number was introduced to prove the authenticity of Styrian pumpkin seed oil.
  • Pelzmann uses high-quality, skinless pumpkin seeds of the Styrian oil squash type (cucurbita pepo l. var. styriaca) from long-term suppliers in select producing areas all over the world.

Your pumpkin seed oil should always be stored unopened in a cool, dark place.

For a perfect pumpkin seed oil dressing, use the oil before any other ingredient (vinegar etc.). Your pumpkin seed oil will then stick better to the lettuce leaves.
