Lebkuchen Oktoberfest Hearts

A Munich Master Baker Gustav Teschernich perfected the use of his imagination. Combing both hearts and chocolate the legend has created an original heart shaped treat made out of chocolate. Since over the time being stored the chocolate would melt, Gustav Teschernich decided to bake the hearts out of gingerbread. Instead of the usual red, white, and green holiday colors, he chose to decorate the hearts with poems. As time passed, the poems got shorter, and eventually just became short sayings and expressions bringing comfort while you eat on the Christmas holidays. (designs randomly selected)
