Panni Bavarian Potato Dumpling Mix
Panni Bavarian Potato Dumpling Mix makes 7 2-inch dumplings which have a smooth texture and are the perfect complement to a variety of beef, sausage or poultry dishes with savory gravies.
- In medium bowl, combine contents of package with 2 cups milk or water. Let stand 10 minutes or until thickened.
- With moistened hands, form mixture into 2-inch balls. If desired, place a crouton in the center of each dumpling.
- In 6-quart stockpot, bring 4 quarts chicken broth or salted water to a boil over high heat. With large spoon, carefully drop dumplings into broth. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of dumpling comes out clean.
- Tip: for richer flavor, decrease milk or water to 1-3/4 cups and stir in 1 beaten egg.
