For more than 50 years, Riegelein has been tempting its customers in a very special way: with high quality, fine chocolate and creative confectionary gifts.

The baker and confectionery master Hans Riegelein and his wife Gerda laid the foundation for the present-day company back in 1953 at the premises of a bakery founded in 1892 in Cadolzburg near Nuremberg. Just two years later, there were already 25 employees who were producing chocolate figures in accordance with the principles of traditional craftsmanship. It was the birth of the typical, unmistakable Santa Claus, which sweeten life for chocolate lovers the world over.

Peter Riegelein took to the helm in 1998, thus marking the transition to the second generation in this traditional, medium-sized family-owned company.
